The NY Tri-State area forecasted possible tornadoes on September 18, 2012, but that didn’t keep concert goers from attending the Stephen Marley performance at Irving Plaza in NYC. The show was kicked off by the legendary Spragga Benz. Spragga torched the stage by firing up the audience with a performance with the band as well as acapella. Stephen Marley hit the stage soon after and blessed the audience with an incredible performance that lasted two hours. The show also included guest performances from Wyclef Jean, who joined Stephen on ‘No Woman No Cry’. Lee Jaffe, who played harmonica with Bob Marley & the Wailers, played on ‘Rebel Music’. Stephen’s son, Jo Mersa, also blazed the stage with a performance of his hit single,‘Bad So’. While the NYC area experienced torrential rain and wind, the audience at Irving Plaza enjoyed a storm of their own. Thank you Stephen Marley and guests for giving a performance in NYC that will surely not be forgotten.
