Today, Questlove Supreme celebrates a special milestone, airing its 100th episode on Pandora (NYSE: P), the largest music streaming service in the U.S. At 1 p.m. EST / 10 a.m. PST, the centennial episode will feature special guest Steve Stoute, aka The Commissioner, Record Label Executive and CEO of marketing agency the Translation. This is a landmark moment for the weekly show available exclusively on Pandora and hosted by Questlove, four-time GRAMMY® winner, member of The Roots, and music director of NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Like a trip to your favorite independent record store or as the iconic founder once described it, “a black nerd version of NPR,” Questlove Supreme has enlightened, enriched, and engaged millions with smart, slick, and sharp commentary on all things music, pop culture, and beyond since it launched on Pandora in 2016. The format spans personal musical selections courtesy of the show’s namesake, provocative conversations, and in-depth and intimate interviews.
The dialogue unfolds as a fast-paced crossfire between Questlove and an equally intriguing cast of cohosts: GRAMMY® Award-nominated rapper/singer Phonte Coleman, music aficionado “Boss” Bill Johnson, renowned on-air personality, music commentator, and pop culture expert Laiya St. Clair, GRAMMY®, Tony® and Emmy® Award-winning music director “Unpaid” Bill Sherman, and engineer for Questlove, The Roots, The Tonight Show and Elvis Costello “Sugar” Steve Mandel. Along the way, the program has welcomed everyone from Academy® Award-winning filmmaker Kathryn Bigelow and the legendary Spike Lee to comedy titan Chris Rock, and music legends such as Lenny Kravitz, Jermaine Dupri, Babyface, Jack White, and many more.
Next up, Questlove Supreme will host additional guests including Michael Che, Patrice Rushen, Linda Perry, and Bobby Brown among other luminaries in the coming weeks. Be sure to tune in and go back to the archive to listen to past episodes you may have missed!
To date, more than 5 million Pandora listeners have added the Questlove Supreme station. Listeners can access the program in a chapter format, allowing them to revisit and pause favorite segments on www.pandora.com/
