DJ Chadinsky is a 22 year old disc jockey from Kingston, Jamaica. He owns IamChadinsky Music. His musical journey began from as far as he can remember however, it was 5 years ago that he officially took a stance with his music. He was then given the opportunity to work on an internet radio known as Jamrockvybz Global Radio which is located in the United States.

DJ Chadinsky currently works at the University of Technology (UTECH) Students Union Internet Radio where he works to excel in his craft- music. His newest material is a Black Uhuru Mixtape, which was reviewed and posted on the Reggaeville website where it attracted over 8000 views and over 300 likes. There was also an article on the Mixtape by Riddim Magazine page 78 where a review was done on it.

DJ Chadinsky is trying to establish himself globally,and he listens to most if not all genres of music, however, Roots Reggae Dub and Dancehall is what he is best at. He is a great selector and he is working hard, utilizing every opportunity to showcase his work. This artist can’t be defined or placed in a box. A singer with a style of his own, creativity flows through him effortlessly like a river.” Born Chad Emerson Waterman, July 8th 1983 in Canarsie and raised in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, NY. For this artist of Guyanese and Bajan heritage, growing up Hip Hop was Chaddy’s first love. From watching video music box in the early 90’s, or listening to artists like Nas, The Fugees, Biggie, Tribe called Quest, Wu-Tang for their raw lyricism and potent messages. There is no doubt that Chaddy is a true fan of hip hop in it’s true form. However this love for Hip Hop shifted upon discovering roots reggae music. Reggae music has really made a deep Impact on Chaddy eventually resulting in his embracing the Rastafari livity. Artists such as Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Dennis Brown, Sizzla, Jah Cure, Garnett Silk to name a few are some of his heavy influences. Also a lover of classic soul music Chaddy Royal incorporates this into his style. His love and appreciation for poetry, spoken word and creative writing in general gives him an edge as a song writer, which tends to be a weakness for most artists.

Chaddy Royal emerged unto the scene in Jan. 2010 with his first two professionally recorded tracks called “Warriaz” and “Stress Free” produced by Little Judah of the Black Rose Sound System out of France.So far he has released 2 mixtapes 1 with Tird World International Sound (Trinidad) and the other with Dukie “King Elijah” Dread. Chaddy has also worked with several producers such as Cultural Prod (France), Tuff Staff Prod (France), Conqueror of Dub (Canary Islands), Dub Foundation Sound (Brazil), Fadajam prod (Trinidad), Step Faarward Music (UK) and a very talented young producer by the name of Bereket Tafari. “A youth far beyond his years musically”. The production style and talent of this gifted young producer has led Chaddy to make a long Journey to South Africa in Oct. 2010 to take his music career further recording his debut album “The Awakening” produced by Bereket Tafari. The album features 16 blazing tracks and was recorded at Gontji production studio in Boksburg, SA. Some popular tracks off of the album are Jah Jah lives within I, Kill Them with Kindness, Why Why Why, Strong and Courageous, and I’ll Never Roam. Several Dj’s and Radio stations have given these tracks good rotation. Chaddy has also performed and opened for hip hop artist Eve in Botswana. Since the release of Chaddy’s first album “The Awakening” in 2011 he has since released the EP “The Universoul Rebel” in 2012 produced by Little Judah and released on the Jamble record Label. This EP features the anthem “Keep and Care” and the video for this single was released in Dec. 2012 and has close to 3,000 views right now on youtube.

Chaddy is currently working on his 2nd album of which there is no official date of release yet. He has a 3rd mixtape recently released called the “Love Is Supreme” mixtape presented by Dj Chadinsky, a young up and coming DJ out of Jamaica. Chaddy Royal is definitely here to make his mark and spread his music across the globe. A message of Love, Rebellion, Upliftment, and the teachings of Rastafari. Chaddy Royal quotes: “I feel that reggae music is music of Empowerment and Substance”. “I’ve learned so much things from this music that one could never imagine learning in school books, but like they say half the truth has never been told and I feel compelled to share that truth with you”.
