Jamaican singer, songwriter, producer Sadiki will release his fifth studio album titled, “Blue Mountain Acoustic” on Friday, June 1, 2018, via Skinny Bwoy Records.
Sadiki was born Henry Buckley Jr. in Kingston, Jamaica.  He is the son of Henry Buckley, the founding member of The Paragons. The multi-talented singer, songwriter, producer and engineer exudes a positive and dynamic version of Reggae, mixing it with R&B with a slight pop flavor. Sadiki has an extensive resume of chart-topping reggae hits in the United States, Europe, and Japan, within both the Lovers Rock and Dancehall genres. His debut album, “Morning’s Come” was ranked #1 in sales at HMV stores throughout Japan within weeks of its release. His second album, “Lifeline”, reached #1 on the Weekly Star Chart, and #2 on the Foundation Radio Network Charts in New York and South Florida. His third album “Jah Is The Only King” was also ranked #1 on BBC Radio’s World Beat Reggae Chart. His fourth album “Covered In Love” yielded the breakthrough single “With You I’m Born Again” ft. Twiggi, which sat atop the Foundation Radio Network Charts in South Florida for 3 weeks. Sadiki is a three-time nominee for “Most Promising Entertainer” at the International Reggae and World Music Awards, and two of Sadiki’s singles, “African Queen” and “Before The Time” have been ranked #1 on BBC Radio’s World Beat Reggae Chart.

Featured on this latest album is a dazzling array of top musicians from Jamaica including Earl “Chinna” Smith, Mitchum “Khan” Chin, Robbie Lyn, George “Fully” Fullwood, Michael Fletcher, Courtland “Gizzmo” White, and  Sheldon “Atiiba” Bernard. The album’s only vocal artist featured is well known Kenyan recording artist and broadcaster Jahmby, who collaborates with Sadiki on “Virtuous Sister”. Backing vocals are provided by veteran Pam Hall and Sadiki. The majority of the tracks were recorded in and around Kingston, Jamaica. Sadiki does all the mixing and mastering work on this album.

“My first exposure to acoustic music was as a young youth when my father would compose songs using his guitar as the main backing instrument,” said Sadiki. “I find it ironic that even though acoustic music is “unplugged”, the performances are focused, resulting in an amplified and much more impactful sound”.

The album contains a total of 13 tracks, 3 of which are interludes. Along with it’s six original gems, ”Blue Mountain Acoustic” includes acoustic covers of some very well known reggae songs including Boris Gardiner’s “I Want To Wake Up With You”, Ken Boothe’s “Everything I Own” and Peter Tosh’s “Pick Myself Up”. The track “Pick Myself Up” features backing guitar from Michael Fletcher and bass from George “Fully” Fullwood who toured and recorded with Peter Tosh as part of Soul Syndicate band. “I think Peter would have loved this version of “Pick Myself Up”, said Fully. “The arrangement is very interesting, he would love that”, he continued.

“Blue Mountain Acoustic” will be available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and all other leading online digital music services on June 1st, 2018. Physical CD’s will be available online at worldwide.
